A tell it like it is book

This is excellent in that we had to take a good hard look at what we dreamed of doing in another part of the world..Yes the notion of living in Tuscany is very inviting..but if you are not a negotiator or have the patience to work on a project like buying or leasing from a foreign agent ..you will be very disappointed.. The book pointed out the paper work and the slow pace that they work at in Italy.. ANd we as Americans

have a tendency to demand results now..and it just doesn't work that way.

If if you had a rich relative in Italy that left you a place. I would probably take years and several translators to get the job done..It opened out eyes to situations we had not been aware of..i am so glad we bought this book..Vry honest and down to earth..covers everything...

Don't bother if you're an American!

This book is all but useless to residents of the US looking for good information about moving to Italy. The book is mostly for residents of EU countries, England most specifically. Altho there are a few items of general interest, and some mention of things pertaining to US citizens, I think it would be a waste of money for anyone who needs serious, current advice. Please note the the 2 favorable reviews are from people who are not US citizens. Save your money!

Definitely will watch for more of this author's work

Bought this by way of studying the current erotica market, which my company, Camptown Races Press, plans to enter next month. Didn't expect much (the stuff tends to be all the same)...and so was utterly delighted at this truly fun read. What a hoot! The writing is flawless and smooth and the premise is outrageously wonderful.

Steven Marcus, in his study of 19th-century writing about sexuality, "The Other Victorians," remarked that p0rn0graphy is by its nature utopian fantasy and also very abstract. Reading "Buy Me" is a lot like stepping into the world of an abstract painting, and it is indeed a fantasy. A brief summary that won't give away the ending: Two Las Vegas brothers covet a twenty-something virgin, with whom (unknown to her) they wish to establish a menage. Meanwhile, by way of paying off her father's gambling debts, she puts herself up for auction to the highest bidder. A bad guy lurks in the background (you can almost hear the "Perils of Pauline" theme playing every time he shuffles across the stage). Things get crazier (and, be warned: erotic) from there.

The only positive I can give, is the sex scenes were hot. That's it. (Spoilers below)

I feel like I'm missing most of the story. They have 30 days to make her want to stay. We see day 1, 2 and day 30? What happened during the other days?

Then she finds out they basically set her up so she'd be forced into prostituting herself so they could buy her. AND they paid off the doctor to NOT put in her birth control so they could get her pregnant to try and force her to stay. And she was OKAY with that?!?!? Are you kidding me?

I have books two and three. I don't think I care to read on. Would return if I could.

Short & Sexy!

Alexa Riley has easily become a go-to author of mine when I'm looking for something short and sexy and Buy Me was no exception.

Stella needs money to save her family farm and while she's not exactly thrilled to be auctioning off her virginity at the Mistress Auction, she feels it's the only way. Imagine her surprise when the Cortez brothers, the guys that have been asking her out repeatedly, pay millions of dollars to have her for thirty days.

Justin and Aaron Cotez are perfect heroes. Possessive, protective, jealous, and know what they want and go after it 100%. As soon as they met Stella they knew she was the one and when she kept turning them down they came up with a way to guarantee she'd be theirs. Now, I can't honestly say that the way they went about things would make for a lasting relationship in the real world... But who cares?! I loved it!

There was some other woman drama that I could have done without... I felt like for the length of this one there was enough going on without the unnecessary drama, but that's just a preference of mine. Other than that, I really enjoyed this one. Of course I wish it were a little longer and we could have seen more during their thirty day contract but no biggie... The smoking hot sexy times definitely made up for that!

If you're looking for a hot menage and you've got a couple hours to kill, you should definitely check out Buy Me. I'm definitely hoping we see more from this series soon!

Credible, helpful resource for new and seasoned bloggers!

I thought that Blog, Inc. was going to be a self-promotional book about Joy's blog mostly, like you see so many bloggers do these days. I could not have been more wrong. I was a skeptic and found that this book is actually an extremely credible, accurate and helpful resource for anyone trying to break into the blogging community, or for bloggers who have been in the blogging ecosystem for years. I have been a (mostly) silent, but ever-fascinated, observer of the blogging community at large. I have started and stopped blogs of my own but will be reinvigorating a new blogging venture in the coming weeks and was curious about this book.

This book not only provides personal interviews with some of the most successful bloggers on the Internet today, but it also offers helpful tips that will either spark an idea for a blog post or spark some further thinking on something you may have thought about before but never fully explored. If nothing else, reading this book will fill you with a new desire to better commit to the blog you started out of love in the first place!

I was expecting a book that wouldn't tell me anything I didn't know already. What I got was a book that gave me a fresh perspective on some of the things I thought I already knew. Knowing that Joy is a hugely successful blogger, her years of experience and successes only add to the credibility of each page. I am enjoying this and thrill myself everytime I write a note in the margins for a blog post idea...which is about every page.

Highly recommend.

Tackles the topics every blogger craves advice on!

When I ordered Joy Cho's book, I was expecting it to be geared towards the beginner level of blogging. However, I devoured that book from front to back, and I soon realized it is both for the starter and the pro. I was taking notes the whole way through. She offers some very practical tips on everything from the start of naming your blog to making it a full time business.

I love how organized and easy the book flows.Other topics she tackles: Blogging Etiquette, Social Networking, SEO, and What to Charge for Sponsorship. These are topics that are hard to find facts and realistic tips on, and every blogger needs guidance with at some point in their experience.

In between chapters there are fantastic Q & A's with successful bloggers that I really enjoyed. Very honest, helpful, and inspiring perspective on their blog journey. It's the best all in one resource for both aspiring bloggers and experience bloggers alike! When I get emails with questions about different aspects of blogging, I will now direct them straight to Joy's book! :)

As a small business owner of a stationery and invitations company, I struggle to keep up with my blog and wonder if I am really reaching my customers through this medium. Joy's book, Blog Inc., provided me with tips and easy-to-follow steps to re-energize my blog with more personal information showing readers a "behind the scenes" sneak peek at my work and daily life. I learned blogging and traffic basics, when and how to reach out to sponsors and how to connect in the blogging community. The stories from successful bloggers were inspirational and it is good to know that they too started off with zero comments on their blog.

A highly-informative, quick read for anyone interested in the wonderful world of blogging for their business or personal use!
